Ad esempio, gli utenti possono installare, in modo flessibile, telecamere IP di sicurezza, access point wireless e altre apparecchiature di rete conformi allo standard IEEE 802.3at /IEEE 802.3af, in aree pubbliche come stazioni, autostrade, aeroporti e campus per esigenze di sorveglianza e di roaming wireless.
