Questo modello di switch è progettato per operare in ambienti ostili come armadi di controllo del traffico, fabbriche e luoghi interni ed esterni in cui si verificano temperature estremamente alte o basse. Con un design non bloccante e dimensioni compatte, si installa con facilità e permette di creare rapidamente una rete Gigabit commutata a banda larga.

I due slot mini-GBIC integrati supportano moduli in fibra ottica a doppia velocità, 100BASE-FX e 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP, permettendo di scegliere il modulo più adatto non solo in base alla distanza ma anche alla velocità di trasmissione richieste.  La distanza può essere estesa da 550 metri (fibra multimodale) a 10/50/70/120 chilometri (fibra monomodale o fibra WDM).

Tecnologia Ring ridondante e Recupero veloce per applicazioni di rete critiche

WGS-5225-8T2SV supporta la tecnologia ad anello ridondante e dispone di una forte e rapida capacità di auto-recupero per prevenire interruzioni del servizio e intrusioni esterne. Incorpora la tecnologia avanzata ITU-T G.8032 ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching), il protocollo Spanning Tree (802.1s MSTP) e il sistema di alimentazione ridondante, nella rete di automazione industriale del cliente per migliorare l’affidabilità del sistema e il tempo di attività in ambienti industriali difficili. In una determinata rete ad anello semplice, il tempo di recupero del collegamento dati può arrivare a 10ms.
